The BET music showcase brought out some of the top up and coming artist for Grammy week and Hollywood Unlocked was present to give you the exclusive inside scoop!

The NeueHouse in Hollywood was filled with supporters as RCA brought out some of their new artists for a night of lounging and performing.

Artist like Justine Skye, Van Jess, Lucky Daye, and Dreamville Records’ Ari Lennox took the stage to perform their top hits as the crowd jammed to their songs.

The night’s host was Ray J who came out and entertained the crowd with hilarious jokes and of course the shameless plug for his wireless headphones.

Overall the night was a success as we heard new songs from newly released albums, as well as some of our favorites that we’ve heard on the radio.

Hollywood Unlocked was in the building as we attended the Los Angeles premiere for the”Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” at the Regency in Westwood!

The blue carpet was jam-packed with the cast and crew of the movie including, Tiffany Haddish, Chris Pratt, Jason Momoa, Will Arnett, Stephanie Beatriz, Elizabeth Banks, Tori Spelling and more!

You know we got the exclusive scoop from some of the main cast members, who revealed some of the weirdest places they have found Lego, and it was not censored!

“The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” is a 3D computer-animated science fiction musical comedy film that is produced by Warner Animation Group. A direct sequel to “The Lego Movie” from 2014, the plot comes five years after the events of the original movie.

“The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” opens Feb. 8 in the US and UK and March 28 in Australia. Kisa and adults you do not want to miss it!

HU Exclusive: Giving You The Keys To Karl Kani & Pretty Little Thing’s Second Collection

Hollywood Unlocked was in the building for the second exclusive drop for the Karl Kani x Pretty Little Thing collaboration.

Karl Kani is back with another collaboration with Pretty Little Thing, and Hollywood Unlocked was in the building to give you an inside scoop.

Kani who is a master designer teamed up with the brand before, but this time he took a whole new direction.

He says that this collection was inspired by the ’90s with pieces like newspaper print layouts, oversized pieces, and a lot of solid colors with Karl’s logo printed on them.

What makes this collection special is the fact that PLT is known to be a woman’s brand, but Karl took it up a notch creating pieces that are unisex.

This event featured live models rocking some of the new looks as well as a lot of celebrity guests.

Giving You The Keys To Netflix’s “Bird Box” Press Junket

Hollywood Unlocked had the chance to get a first-hand look at Netflix’s upcoming Thriller “Bird Box” and sit down with Director Susanne Bier and the leading male of the movie Trevante Rhodes!

In the wake of an unknown global terror, a mother must find the strength to flee with her children down a treacherous river in search of safety. Due to the unseen deadly monsters looming outside the journey must be made blindfolded. Directed by Academy Award winner Susanne Bier, Bird Box is a thriller starring Academy Award winner Sandra Bullock, John Malkovich, Sarah Paulson, and Trevante Rhodes.

The movie is truly terrifying and leaves you wondering if this could happen in our world. Interestingly, Bier reveals that herself and Bullock originally got the script years ago, however, it seemed more fitting in today’s climate.

Trevante being the leading role in a Thriller is typically unconventional for a black man, but, his representation is strong in the film and allows him to bring in personal life experience to his role, and adds to the chemistry with Sandra Bullock’s character, Mallory.

We can’t say any more other than to tune into Netflix on December 21 for the film’s release!

Hollywood Unlocked joined Serge Ibaka at his home for the latest episode of his cooking show, “How Hungry Are You?”

Serge takes the role of the Mafuzzy Chef and this week he has a special surprise in store for DeMar DeRozan. He reveals that he will be cooking a special Congolese dish called “worms”. Yes, you got it right Serge has live worms that he will be cooking for his friend, with a side of rice of course.

Now, there wouldn’t be a cooking show without a taste test and daring DeRozan dives into the worms, and it looks like he has quite the liking for it!

HU Exclusive: Giving You The Keys To “Dog Days” Press Junket

Hollywood Unlocked got the chance to sit down with stars Eva Longoria, Nina Dobrev, Vanessa Hudgens, Adam Pally, Tone Bell and director Ken Marino. We were also joined by some adorable puppies!

“Dog Days” follows a group of interconnected people in Los Angeles who are brought together by their lovable dogs. The movie explores how relationships develop and grow organically among a group of people who would not have naturally connected if it wasn’t for their dogs.

Eva opens up about how her character of an adoptive mother correlates to the recent birth of her own son. She adds that she was emotional throughout filming the film, especially when they got to keep “Mr. Snuggles.” Ken also adds that Eva was one of his favorite cast members to work with.

Nina and Tone’s characters tell the story of an unlikely romance that is finally brought together by their dogs. Their on and off-screen friendship definitely shines through their roles!

Now, Vanessa and Adam both learn about growth and fostering unexpected relationships because of the dogs in the movie. The loving characters are people that we can all relate to!

Dog Days is both emotional, funny and cute, with an A-list cast that you get to experience in different roles!

Singer/songwriter K Michelle sits down in part 1 of our exclusive interview with Hollywood Unlocked CEO Jason Lee where she opens up about having image issues, her struggles following plastic surgery and her past relationships!

K Michelle opens up about her first experience with silicone shots, adding that they are not legal in the US and that it’s a practice for women to get the procedure done in a hotel room. She adds that the next day she achieved her voluptuous look, despite already being curvy. The procedure itself would later take a negative effect on her body. The singer admits she has been sick for over a year and a half, suffering from the repercussions of the surgery.

K then reveals her relationship with Idris Elba, who claimed he could never be with just one woman but adds that he gave “amazing head”. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for Lesean McCoy, who allegedly, has a small penis, and c*** too quick.

That’s not it! K Michelle then reveals that she didn’t want to be with Chad “Ochocinco” because his penis was too big!

She adds, ” I wanted my walls and I wanted to get a husband”. However, he did get her a pet monkey.

Hollywood Unlocked Gives You The Keys To The BET “Her” Awards.

Hollywood Unlocked was in the building as successful women of color were celebrated at Black Entertainment Television’s first “BET Her” award show on Thursday in downtown Los Angeles.

Percussionist Sheila E. received the BET Her Icon Award, “Insecure’s” Yvonne Orji the Rising Star Award, television personality “Power’s” La La Anthony got the Evolution Award, Women’s March National co-chair Tamika Mallory the Mission Award, tech maven Angela Benton the Tech Innovation Award and CMO Bozoma Saint John the Bumble First Mover Award.

Presented by Bumble and hosted by singer Brandy, the party took place at the Conga Room with live performances by Grammy winner Estelle and girl group June’s Diary and Saweetie. All the stars gave us the keys on how to be successful and remain a positive role-model for other women out there! Oh, and Romeo Miller told us he might bite someone, if he sees one his crushes that is! It looks like Sanaa Lathan started a trend…

The Artist Project by Swisher Sweets honors people who exemplify passion through their artistic endeavors and generate a spark within the music industry.

Many celebrity guests shared the red carpet to show support and celebrate the Swisher Sparks Awards, their honorees, and their artists- including celebrity favorites such as Fetty Wap, Lola Monroe, Hennessy Carolina, Jason Lee, Miss Nikki Baby, and Chanel West Coast!

John Miller, Senior Vice President of sales and marketing for Swisher Sweets, presented Gucci Mane with the award after the celebratory toast. Gucci Mane’s wife, Keyshia Ka’Oir, was present to support him throughout the event, and she looked amazing as always!

However, he says despite being a convicted felon since he was 16, he had nothing to do with it and they based the allegations on his past. Fortunately, he did no time for the accusations!

Te Money opens up about his relationship with rapper Dolla who he knew since he was a young teen, from managing him to becoming business partners to the fatal shooting. Te details the night that Dolla was in LA and was killed while heading out to valet at the Beverly center.
