Cardi B Reportedly Pulls Out Of Lead Role In “Assisted Living”
According to @Deadline, Cardi B has reportedly pulled out of her starring role in the comedy film “Assisted Living.”

The rap star/actress was set to play “a low-level criminal on the run when she’s wrongly accused of a crime. She has to stay free long enough to prove her innocence and holes up at her grandmother’s retirement home. She fits in with the help of some old-lady prosthetics,” Deadline reports. It was said that Cardi’s reason for exiting was that “she is overextended.”
The outlet notes that Paramount Players has since pulled the plug on the comedy project following Cardi’s exit. The $30 million film that is produced by Temple Hill and was to be directed by Thembi Banks, was just a week away from starting production, and other cast and crew were just told the film has at least temporarily been scratched.
Although Cardi has starred in films like “Hustlers” and “F9,” “Assisted Living” would have been her first leading role in a movie.
Aside from acting, Cardi has been super busy. Recently, she became the first-ever creative director in residence for Playboy. She also partnered with Starco Brands to launch alcoholic whipped cream Whipshots and not only did she also gave birth to her second child with husband Offset in September, but she’s has been online posting from the studio, so she’s possibly working on new music!
