Cardi B is putting up a strong fight to get what she is owed from Miss Tasha K.
According to a report by RadarOnline, the rap star has reportedly filed a new lawsuit and has asked the court to not allow Tasha’s debt to be wiped clean in the bankruptcy.
As we previously reported, the controversial blogger filed for bankruptcy earlier this year claiming that she has less than $60,000 in total assets. Her move came nearly a year after she lost to Cardi in a legal battle over defamation.
Tasha has said many times that she doesn’t have enough to pay Cardi in full. However, that hasn’t stopped Cardi from coming after her pockets! In her new suit, she argues, “Defendant was given multiple opportunities to retract the false and defamatory statements and videos, but Defendant steadfastly refused to do so.”
More On The Case
On Thursday (October 13, 2022) Judge William Ray ruled that blogger Tasha K must immediately pay Cardi B her almost $4 million defamation verdict, or secure a bond covering the entire amount.
The YouTuber had made salacious claims that the Bronx rapper had an STD, was a prostitute, and used drugs. It was an extremely tough time for Cardi who revealed during the trial that she even became suicidal. “I felt defeated and depressed and I didn’t want to sleep with my husband.” She also explained that she felt as if she “didn’t deserve” her sweet daughter Kulture, whom she and Migos rapper Offset welcomed in July 2018.
Cardi B ultimately won the $4,000,000 case and has since voiced that she wants her money from Tasha, and she wants it now!

Per the outlet, Cardi began collecting thousands before Tasha filed for bankruptcy, which paused all of Cardi’s collection efforts. Recently, the rap star demanded Tasha appear for an examination of her financial records.
After losing her appeal in March, Tasha K apologized. “We lost the appeal against Cardi B sad day,” she wrote at the time. “But I’m gonna be alright. I appreciate all your love [and] support. Throughout this fight. Today we throw in the white flag. What happened will never happen again. To Cardi [and] her team, I apologize sincerely. We live and learn.” She added, “Talk about a check my mouth can’t cash!!😩😩😩😩”
The apology doesn’t mean diddly squat to Cardi because all she wants is her money and she’s going to great lengths to assure that she gets it, rightfully so.
As RadarOnline notes, according to bankruptcy court law, a creditor cannot have a debt discharged if the debt was related to a “willful and malicious injury.”
