According to TMZ, the woman started posting the letters on Friday in San Leandro and her images went viral on Saturday. The letter explicitly states “a woman or man who was born in other countries” should take their children immediately and return to their county.

“We the People: Do ordain to you to leave this house. One American, white, brave, that serves the nation of USA is going to live here.”

Former Mayor Stephen Cassidy said in a statement on Twitter that the woman has been identified and she was arrested by police. He stated that he will tell officials to charge her with a hate crime due to the context of her letter.
