A Californa judge has given the green light to Michael Jackson accusers, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, allowing them to sue the late pop legend’s MJJ productions and MJJ ventures, despite Jackson being found not guilty in previous criminal court cases.

“The corporations do not dispute these revisions apply to plaintiffs’ nonfatal cases still pending on appeal, rendering their claims timely,” the ruling read. “We agree and find their dispute under the previous statutory provisions to be moot.”

The men recently detailed their apparent abuse in HBO’s “Leaving Neverland” documentary and they now have the right to try and sue for sexual abuse despite a trial judge initially throwing out their cases on grounds that they waited too long to file their claim. The California statute of limitations required them to file before they became 26.

However, TMZ reports that a new law just went into effect January 1, 2020, and allows sexual abuse victims to sue until they’re 40, which means that Robsn and Safechuck will see thier day in court once again.

In a statement given to Rolling Stone, Howard Weitzman, the lawyer for the Jackson estate reminded everyone that the estate is exempt from this,  “The Court of Appeal’s ruling merely revived lawsuits against Michael Jackson’s companies, which absurdly claim that Michael’s employees are somehow responsible for sexual abuse that never happened. The ruling was the result of a change in the law signed by Governor Newsom that extends the time for genuine victims to file claims. The Court of Appeal specifically did not address the truth of these false allegations, and we are confident that both lawsuits will be dismissed and that Michael Jackson will be vindicated once again.”
