As we previously reported, the 18-year-old University of Southern California student-athlete who is the eldest son of the NBA legend was taken to a hospital last month after suffering from cardiac arrest during a workout. The young basketball star was transported to the hospital in an ambulance from USC’s Galen Center and his condition at the time was said to be a Code 3.

The news was later confirmed by a rep for the family who stated that Bronny was in stable condition after being released from ICU.

“We ask for respect and privacy for the James family, and we will update media when there is more information,” the statement read. “LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”

The 18-year-old was later released after spending several days in the hospital.

LeBron James has since thanked fans for their love and great support during that difficult time. He said, “I want to thank the countless people sending my family love and prayers. We feel you and I’m so grateful. Everyone doing great. We have our family together, safe and healthy, and we feel your love,” wrote the Los Angeles Lakers star, 38. He added, “Will have more to say when we’re ready but I wanted to tell everyone how much your support has meant to all of us!” he added, along with the hashtag #JamesGang and a crown emoji.
