Britney Spears and her fiance Sam Asghari announced on Instagram that the pop singer suffered a miscarriage.

“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy. This is a devastating time for any parent. Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along. However, we were overly excited to share the good news.” the couple wrote in a statement.

As previously reported, Spears announced that she was expecting her first child with Asghari in April. The singer has two sons, Sean Preston,16, and Jayden James,15, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Fans were reportedly confused by the post due to Spears mentioning a food baby and she said she will not be going out as much so paparazzi won’t make money from her photos.
According to Page Six, Asghari was looking forward to becoming a father in a separate statement after Spears announced her pregnancy.
“Marriage and kids are a natural part of a strong relationship filled with love and respect. Fatherhood is something I have always looked forward to and I don’t take it lightly. It is the most important job I will ever do
”
The couple announced their engagement in September 2021 and recently announced the wedding date on Instagram. However, the details surrounding the date are unknown as Asghari said the public won’t know until a day after the wedding.
