Zara Edgar,36, and Igel Edger,36, traveled to Turkey to pay for $18,000 in plastic surgery procedures, claiming they were upset with the results. According to the New York Post, the couple wanted to warn others to be more responsible when researching plastic surgery and its costs.

Zara said she wanted to get the “Instagram look” since those with the procedure always look “perfect” and sold her home so she and her husband could invest in their looks. She received a tummy tuck, butt lift, and breast and teeth implants. Her husband received implants to obtain the perfect smile.

Zara said her stomach is still scarred from the procedure, and she still feels pain despite having the surgery several months ago. Igel says his implants feel very instead, and he’s worried that his teeth could possibly fall out at any moment.

“I feel so upset about it. I wanted to feel good in my bikini. Igel said I looked lovely before. I wish I’d believed him. My tummy feels like there’s metal inside. It makes me so unhappy. Igel’s implants were [also] supposed to give him confidence, but he’s more worried now than ever,” Zara said.

However, the clinic told her she and her husband could return back to have the issues fixed since they reportedly have a 20-year guarantee. But the couple said they are unsure if they want to return back to the country to have their botched procedures fixed.

Botched plastic surgery is risky with any surgical procedure, including those performed in Turkey. While many people travel to Turkey for affordable and high-quality plastic surgery, it’s important to thoroughly research the surgeon and clinic before undergoing any procedure.

There have been cases of botched plastic surgery in Turkey, as in other countries. Some common reasons for botched surgeries include inexperienced or unskilled surgeons, poor pre-operative planning and preparation, and lack of follow-up care after the surgery.

There are several reasons why plastic surgery is popular in Turkey. Some of the main factors are:

  1. Cost: Turkey offers plastic surgery procedures at a much lower cost than many other countries, including the United States and Europe. This makes it a more affordable option for people who want to improve their appearance.
  2. Quality of care: Turkey has a reputation for providing high-quality medical care, including plastic surgery. Many Turkish plastic surgeons are highly skilled and experienced, and they use the latest technology and techniques to deliver excellent results.
  3. Medical tourism: Turkey has become a popular destination for medical tourism, including plastic surgery. Many people come to Turkey specifically for plastic surgery because of the combination of affordable prices and high-quality care.
  4. Cultural values: In some cultures, physical appearance is highly valued, and plastic surgery is seen as a way to improve one’s appearance and boost self-confidence. Turkey is a country where physical appearance is often considered important, which may contribute to the popularity of plastic surgery.

Overall, a combination of factors, including cost, quality of care, medical tourism, and cultural values, contribute to the popularity of plastic surgery in Turkey.
