OMG! A Brazilian mother is recovering after giving birth a 2-foot tall and 16-pound baby boy earlier this month.

Brazilian Mother Gives Birth To 2-Foot Tall, 16-Pound Baby Boy
It is reported that 27-year-old Cleidiane Santos dos Santos delivered her baby boy Angerson on January 18 at Hospital Padre Colombo in Parintins, Amazonas State.
Upon delivery, the baby boy was measured a whopping 2 feet long, and weighed at another whopping 16 pounds. Reports say that the infant was delivered via C-section.
Speaking on the miraculous and rare delivery, Dr. Artemisia Pessoa, an OBGYN at Hospital Padre Colombo, said Angerson continues to be monitored in the neonatal intensive care unit.
Pessoa added, “We are just feeling joy, satisfaction and gratitude for everything having worked out in this case.” Pessoa also noted that it was a “rare” and “risky” situation, pointing out the fact of the baby boy’s weight and length.
According to the hospital, via it’s official Instagram page, the baby boy is already starting to breastfeed an dis using techniques to suck his mother’s breast.
Elsewhere, the American Pregnancy Association reports that most full-term babies, which are delivered between 39 to 40 weeks, usually weigh between 6 and 9 pounds.
Additionally, according to the National Library of Medicine, high birth weight, anything more than 8 pounds and 13 ounces, can put a child at risk for having high blood sugar and breathing problems.

It is reported by the Guinness World records that the heaviest baby to survive infancy belongs to a boy weighing 22 pounds and 8 ounces. The infant was born in Aversa, Italy back in 1955.
Then in 2019, a New York woman, named Joy Buckley, gave birth to a baby girl, who weighed 15 pounds and 5 ounces. The morning after delivery, Buckley claimed, “I felt like I had been hit by two tractor-trailers simultaneously.”
