Before sitting ringside during Ray J and Orlando Brown’s fight, Brandy walked her brother out into the arena and later shared how she was “so proud” of his redemptive boxing defeat.
Now, Ray ended up beating Orlando by unanimous decision on the Zeus Network undercard of Claressa Shields vs. Kaye Scott at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on Saturday evening (August 15).
Before Ray and Orlando went pound-for-pound, Ray hopped in the car with his sister Brandy as they made their way to the venue. On the way, the siblings shared a cute moment as Ray showed off his “boxing skills” in the car. Upon arrival at the venue, Ray walked in with his sister at his side, plus streamer DeenTheGreat and his streaming partner, former boxing champion Adrien Broner.
Ray J Redeems Himself In Orlando Brown Boxing Bout, Sister Brandy ‘So Proud’ Of Him
When it was time for the arena walk out, Ray J had support from Brandy, Deen and Adrien, plus their entourage and more. As Ray got himself pumped, Brandy rubbed her brother’s shoulder and cheered him on as they walked out to DeenTheGreat’s song, “Still,” featuring Adrien Broner and O.T. Genasis.
After Ray J made it into the ring with Orlando Brown, they got into fight mode. The bout proved to be highly entertaining, as most expected. There were connecting hits from both men, and some shots that fell short. After three rounds, the officials dubbed Ray J the winner by unanimous decision.
He officially redeemed himself after experiencing his first career loss a few months. Back in May, he lost to Supah Hot Fire during Adin Ross’ MMA event.
Brandy expressed how proud she was of her little brother and how she really doesn’t want to see him back in the ring again. She told Fight Hype, “I’m so proud. I mean, he did really good.” When asked if she wants to him keep doing that, she boldly declared, “No!”
