Blue Ivy Wins Her First Grammy Award!

Blue Ivy has won her very first Grammy!! She is the second youngest person in the Recording Academy’s history to win the award.

The Recording Academy announced on their official Twitter page that ‘Brown Skin Girl’ featuring Beyonce, Blue Ivy Carter, and Wiz Kid, has won Best Music Video. It reads, “Congrats Best Music Video winner – ‘BROWN SKIN GIRL’ @Beyonce #BlueIvy @wizkidayo #GRAMMYs.” It is one of the first awards won by Beyonce before tonight’s ceremony as she has several nominations for ‘The Gift’, her accompanying album for Disney’s live-action remake of the ‘Lion King’

As reported by TMZ, nine-year-old Blue Ivy Carter will now join the music group, The Peasall Sisters, being one of the youngest winners to receive a Grammy award. Last year, Blue Ivy became the youngest winner to receive a BET award and she also won the NAACP Award for the song.

Blue Ivy has made several appearances in her parents’ songs and music videos. Her first feature was when she was only two days old and Jay-Z released the single “Glory” in 2012 and she became the youngest person in history to have a song on a Billboard chart.
