Blac Chyna has recently shared an update on her co-parenting status with Rob Kardashian and Tyga following all of the backlash and controversy following Khloe Kardashian‘s comment about her feeling like a “third parent” to her brother’s 6-year-old daughter, Dream Kardashian.
About a month ago, Chyna and Khloe were caught up in headlines after Khloe and her former brother-in-law Scott Disick were having a one-on-one about all of the things Khloe does for her children and her nieces and nephews.
At the time, Khloe — who co-parents 5-year-old daughter True and 1-year-old son Tatum with Tristan Thompson — was specifically putting together a butterfly-themed birthday party for Chyna and Rob’s daughter, Dream. While she appeared more than happy to take over the job of planning and decorating the party, Scott told her “It’s amazing” how despite “everything [she has] going on, she still makes sure people around her are taken care of.
Khloe admitted, “I love [Dream],” and Scott interjected, “I know, but you take care of so many people.” Khloe tried to play it off and whispered, “Oh, Scott,” and doubled down, “You do! It’s amazing.” Khloe added, “I appreciate that.”
Scott — who co-parents kids Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 8, with ex Kourtney Kardashian — said, “I just can’t believe that you’re like somewhat of a co-parent to Dream.” While spotting some of the families’ kids, Khloe smiled and then said to Scott,“I mean…” Scott interjected again and said, “You’re like more than an aunt.” Khloe admitted, “I’m probably more than an aunt, but… just a third parent … the third wheel.” Scott added, “It’s amazing. You’re not the third wheel. You’re like the wheel that makes the car move.”

Khloe looked at Scott, clearly realizing that he’s right. Khloe’s voice is then ushered in as a voice-over as the screen transitions to her in a confessional. She said, “Dream is one of my babies too. Just like all the rest of them. And I absolutely love being a mom to people. I love mothering people, I don’t know if they like that or not. But, it’s so in my blood, just to be a mom. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Following Khloe’s “third parent” comment about Dream, some of social media thought Khloe and Scott were seemingly shading Chyna and Rob. This sparked responses from both Chyna and Khloe, clarifying that that wasn’t the case at all. At the time, Chyna — who also co-parents son King Cairo, 10, with Tyga — said, “Everything is good on both ends, we are all family at the end of the day. Robert and myself are co-parenting the best we can and it’s all love and positivity.”
Khloe also spoke out and said, “I love ALL of my nieces and nephews more than I can express.” Khloe added that she’s “particularly close” to Dream because of her close relationship with her Dream’s dad. She added, “My brother and I are extremely close. I am with Dream all the time because I’m with my brother all of the time. I love her beyond measure.”
Now, about a month later, Chyna is giving fans an update following the controversy and her initial response. On Wednesday (August 16), Chyna told Entertainment Tonight, “Time heals everything, people change and situations change. As long as my kids are good and happy on both sides, that’s all I care about as a parent.”
Blac Chyna added that she doesn’t “worry” when her daughter and son are with their fathers, Rob Kardashian and Tyga, respectively. The 35-year-old explained, “I’m like, ‘Nah, my kids are good. They’re pretty smart.’ My kids are really smart, and they have common sense. They’re, like, the sweetest people … so they’re gonna be good, just them in general.“
Chyna also again addressed the old Khloe comments and said, “They’re so close, you know? Rob and Khloe. So of course, Dream’s gonna be like [that] with [Khloé’s daughter], True.”
