Everybody’s saying I robbed this person and that person.” He continued to explain that he wants to folks to do their research when it comes to his case and also asked for people on social media to be sensitive about the stuff that people post because of his children. “I’m still a man of God and I still preach the word of God no matter what you guys think.”

As we previously shared, Lamor Miller-Whitehead, 47, was found guilty of five counts after a trial in federal court in Manhattan that began late last month. Prosecutors had argued that the preacher exaggerated his ties to Mayor Eric Adams and let greed overtake him as he looted a parishioner’s retirement savings and tried to extort a businessman to fuel his lavish lifestyle.

He also was accused of lying to FBI agents by denying he had a second cellphone.

“Whitehead abused the trust placed in him by a parishioner, tried to obtain a fraudulent loan using fake bank records, bullied a businessman for $5,000, tried to defraud him out of far more than that, and lied to federal agents,” said U.S. Attorney Damian Williams.

Whitehead was previously convicted of identity theft. However, the details that emerged from this new case were straight out of a Lifetime movie, presumably titled “The Preacher Who Stole My Retirement Fund.”
