President Biden addressed concerns about his performance in the recent debate against former President Donald Trump during a rally in North Carolina. Despite calls from fellow Democrats and Republicans to consider stepping aside, Biden expressed confidence in his ability to lead the country.

At the rally this Friday afternoon, Biden acknowledged the challenges he faces due to his age, stating, “Folks, I don’t walk as easy as I used to, I don’t speak as smoothly as I used to, I don’t debate as well as I used to. But I know what I do know: I know how to tell the truth.” He went on reassure the crowd that he knows how to do the job.

While Biden stumbled and froze during the debate, he stuck to his script during the rally, reading with only minor errors. He expressed his determination to continue running for a second term, stating, “Folks, I give you my word as a Biden, I would not be running again if I didn’t believe with all my heart and soul I can do this job, because, quite frankly, the stakes are too high.” Biden continued by mentioning the threat he believes Trump poses to the nation, further solidifying his commitment to remain in the race.

Tuesday’s debate performance raised concerns among Democrats, leading some donors and party officials to consider alternative options. Discussions have reportedly taken place among Democratic fundraisers to persuade congressional leaders, particularly Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, to encourage Biden to drop out. However, at present, the only way Biden could be replaced is if he voluntarily ends his campaign.

Despite the speculation and calls for him to step aside, Biden’s aides and top Democratic officials have stated that the 81-year-old incumbent has no plans to do so. He remains determined to continue his campaign and believes he is the best candidate to lead the nation forward.
