“Best Of My Love” Singer Pamela Hutchinson Passes Away At 61

‘The Emotions’ singer Pamela Hutchinson passed away at 61 on Friday.

The group’s official Facebook page confirmed the news early Sunday and said Hutchinson succumbed to the health issues she frequently battled throughout the years. It reads, “In loving memory, we are saddened to announce the passing of our sister, Pamela Rose Hutchinson, on Friday, September 18, 2020. Pam succumbed to health challenges that she’d been battling for several years. Now our beautiful sister will sing amongst the angels in heaven in perfect peace.”

Hutchinson was the youngest sibling out of her three sisters Wanda, Sheila, and Jeanette. However, she replaced Jeanette as the original member of the group with much-continued success. The trio is known for their hit “Best of My Love” and singing back up on Earth, Wind and Fire’s “Boogie Wonderland.”

Throughout their career, “The Emotions” released nine albums, and two reached gold status while one went platinum. They also had numerous singles produced throughout the years.

The Facebook status also added, “A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. We love you, Pamela!”
