Benzino Slams Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Taking to his Twitter, Benzino reposted an article from Rolling Stone announcing the Eminem induction and he said, “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is just like the Grammy’s, they have no respect for our culture, Black or Hip Hop and if you don’t agree, you’re racist, period point blank.”

In a follow up tweet — which he has since deleted from his account — Benzino said, “And I wanna hear nothing from y’all Black rappers and fans, y’all did this [bullsh*t]. BENZINO BEEN TOLD Y’ALL GOOFBALLS.

Benzino Reacts To Supreme Court Wanting To Reverse Roe v. Wade

Elsewhere, Benzino also spoke out on the recent controversy of the Supreme Court looking to reverse its 1973 decision in Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey. The former protects a pregnant woman’s liberty to choose to have an abortion without excessive government restriction. Addressing the controversy,

Benzino tweeted out, “I stand with all women on their rights to choose regarding their body and having abortions. The Government has absolutely no right to dictate such a sensitive and important right.”

In addition to Benzino’s reaction, former President Barack Obama and wife Michelle Obama have issued a joint statement on Tuesday (May 3) on the latest controversy.

“The consequences of this decision would be a blow not just to women, but to all of us who believe that in a free society, there are limits to how much the government can encroach on our personal lives.

And this decision is unlikely to significantly reduce abortions, which have been steadily going down over the past several decades thanks in large part to better access to contraception and education. Instead, as we’ve already begun to see in states with restrictive abortion laws, those women with means would travel to states where abortion remains legal and safe.

Meanwhile those without enough money or access to transportation or ability to take off from school or work would face the same circumstances most women faced before Roe, desperately seeking out illegal abortions that inevitably pose grave risks to their health, their future ability to bear children, and sometimes their lives.”
