Oop! While campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris in her 2024 presidential election run, actor Ben Stiller says he “wishes he was Black,” adding “Every White Jewish Guy wishes he was Black.”
While throwing all of his support at Kamala Harris, over her opponent, former President Donald Trump, ‘Zoolander‘ actor Ben Stiller, who is Jewish, hopped on a Zoom call on Monday (August 5) to campaign for VP Harris with other “Comics For Kamala.” Along with Stiller, several other celebrities were on the call, like Ed Helms, Jon Hamm, Whoopi Goldberg, and host Paul Mercurio.
Despite hopping on the 3-hour-plus call halfway into the conversation, Ben Stiller left an impression after initially announcing that he would match the $150,000 donation that host Mercurio gave to Kamala Harris. Stiller went on to share his excitement with others about VP Harris potentially trumping Trump in the 2024 presidential race. He further encouraged everyone on the call and listening in to rally together, show up, and show out for Kamala Harris.
During the call, Ben Stiller, 58, went on to describe VP Kamala Harris, 59, as “a decent person” and someone he could see taking over the White House because she has empathy, humor, and ultimately still cares about democracy — unlike her opponent who’s been accused of propagating Project 2025, which appears to open the door to fascism and demolish democracy.
Stiller believes VP Harris has also done a great job at energizing and mobilizing the young voters who were once disengaged before she stepped on the scene as the newest Democratic nominee. This followed President Joe Biden, 81, stepping down, exiting the race for re-election, and officially endorsing his VP for nominee of the Democratic Party.
Since the shocking move, VP Harris has rapidly received millions in donations and endorsements, making her a worthy and quite scary opponent for Trump, 78.
After praising Kamala Harris, who is Black and Indian, and urging others to vote for her in this election, Ben Stiller replaced his serious hat with his comical hat and made a joke about race. The ‘Dodgeball‘ actor said, “I’m Jewish and Irish… I wish I was black, every white Jewish guy wishes he was Black.”
