Romeo Miller Confirms Quitting GUHH: “I Can’t Sell My Soul For A Storyline”

Romeo Miller recently stopped by The Breakfast Club with his dad Master P to talk about a bunch of things including where the 30-year-old currently stands with “Growing Up Hip-Hop: LA.”

It was previously reported that Romeo had quit the reality show. At the time, details weren’t exactly clear but while speaking with the hosts of The Breakfast Club, both Romeo and Master P confirmed that the rumor was true. While explaining why they thought it was the best decision to part ways, Master P said,

“It’s about having integrity, the show is not going where we thought it would be going.” Romeo added, “I’ve been in this business for 19 years, I’m at a place where it is now about my inner peace. I’m the highest-paid on the network, but I am not selling my soul for money I can’t sell my soul for a storyline you know.

The father and son duo also noted that they aren’t into the fake drama, and despite how bad things looked between Romeo and co-star Angela Simmons, he also made it clear that he has no problem with her or anyone else on the show.

“I want to wish everybody look I want to wish everybody the best I want to uplift people that’s why I left the show is that simple it’s it’s fake drama for no reason.”

UPDATE: Three More People In Washington State Die From The Coronavirus

Just hours after it was reported that a second person had died of the novel coronavirus in the Seattle area, according to breaking reports, three more people have passed away in Washington state from the deadly virus, bringing the total to five in the state and United States.

Dr. Jeff Duchin from Public Health – Seattle & King County announced the new deaths at a news conference earlier today. All of the deaths in this country have occurred in Washington State, and leaders in the Seattle area said on Monday that they intended to open isolation centers in an effort to contain an emerging coronavirus outbreak, according to The New York Times.

As we previously reported, the first death was on Saturday and was a King County man in his 50s. The second victim, a man in his 70s, was hospitalized at EvergreenHealth Medical Center in Kirkland with underlying health conditions. He also passed on Saturday, according to King County Public Health. The three latest victims were women in their 70s and 80s, King County Public Health said.

“We are reporting four new cases today,” Jeffrey Duchin, a health officer in King County and Seattle, said on Twitter. “Of the four cases, two have died. In addition, one of our previously reported cases has now died.”

“To increase your chances of staying healthy, avoid crowded settings if possible,” The agency said on Twitter. “Especially if you are over 60, or have other chronic health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, lung disease, or a weakened immune system.”

The global death count has climbed above 3,000, and the number of confirmed cases rose to almost 90,000. In the U.S., more than 80 cases have been reported. However, it was said that some patients have already recovered.

Public Enemy Drops Flavor Flav After Sending Bernie Sanders Cease And Desist Letter

Looks like Public Enemy has reached their breaking point! According to a Sunday statement, the Hip-Hop group announced that they are moving forward without their longtime member Flavor Flav — their founding member and hype man of nearly 40 years. This move was made after the rapper sent a cease-and-desist letter to Bernie Sanders on Friday.

“Public Enemy and Public Enemy Radio will be moving forward without Flavor Flav,” the group said in a joint statement, according to Rolling Stone. “We thank him for his years of service and wish him well.”

Apparently, member Chuck D planned to perform at the candidates’ California rally on Sunday. However, Flavor Flav accused the campaign of using his likeness at the rally even though he “has not endorsed any political candidate in this election cycle.”

“While Chuck is certainly free to express his political view as he sees fit — his voice alone does not speak for Public Enemy,” the letter obtained by Fox News said. “The planned performance will only be Chuck D of Public Enemy, it will not be a performance by Public Enemy. Those who truly know what Public Enemy stands for know what time it is, there is no Public Enemy without Flavor Flav.” The letter also added that “Sanders had promised to ‘Fight the Power’ with hip-hop icons Public Enemy, but this Rap Icon will not be performing at the Sanders rally.”

Chuck D later took to Twitter on Sunday afternoon to sound off even more on his issue with Flav,

“It’s not about BERNIE with Flav… he don’t know the difference between BarrySanders or BernieSanders he don’t know either,” he said.

The event was being held on Sunday at the Los Angeles Convention Center. An ad for the event claimed that “Public Enemy Radio” was set to perform, according to the candidate’s website.

“Join Bernie Sanders, Sarah Silverman, and Dick Van Dyke, with a special performance by Public Enemy Radio. Doors open at 3:00 p.m. and the event starts at 5:00 p.m. Capacity is limited and admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis,” the website stated.

By the looks of Chuck D’s Instagram Story, he did perform at the event. Flavor Flav has not publicly commented on these latest reports.

An end of an era: The popular syndicated court show Judge Judy is coming to an end after 25 seasons.

In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, to be aired this Monday, the 77-year-old broke the news to the talk how host, saying that the 2020-21 season of Judge Judy will be its last — which will be the show’s 25th season on the air.

“I’ve had a 25-year marriage with CBS and it’s been successful,” host Judy Sheindlin said in a clip released online. According to Sheindlin, CBS is seeking to utilize repeats of Judge Judy, instead of commissioning further series. She explained, “Now, [CBS] have 25 years of reruns, so what they decided to do was to sell a couple of years worth of reruns.” “But,” she added: “I’m not tired.”

Sheindlin then shared some great news! She will be launching a brand new show since it’s her desire to continue working. The new show will be titled Judy Justice. But, that will not air on CBS. She said, that show “would be going elsewhere” while reruns of her old shows go into syndication.

Now we’ve seen a bunch of great, crazy, shocking and also heartwarming moments on her show. However, Sheindlin said next year would mark the “silver anniversary” of her Judge Judy show and that its final season would be “the best ever”.

“The following couple of years, you should be able to catch all the reruns that CBS has sold to the stations that are currently carrying Judge Judy, and Judy Justice will be going elsewhere – isn’t that fun?”

The Sun shared that Meghan, 38, waa invited to the gala by British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful. It was said that The Duchess of Sussex has accepted the invite but won’t be going with Harry for what The Sun says will be the “first Hollywood appearance” of her post-Megxit life, which officially starts on April 1.

Apparently, Meghan has already began planning a “glamorous androgynous” look for the May 4 event. This year’s theme is reportedly based on Virginia Woolfe’s “Orlando,” The Sun said. The source said,

“The Met Gala is for the Who’s Who of show business. Naturally, Meghan was one of the first names on the guest list, and Edward’s team are excited that the two will go together,” a source told the paper, adding that, “Meghan is keen to step out occasionally without Harry so that she can establish herself once more in Hollywood.”

New York State’s Plastic Bag Ban Officially Goes Into Effect

Kicking off the new month, New York’s plastic bag ban has officially gone into effect! This means that the thin wispy plastic bags can no longer be handed out for free at New York’s groceries and other retailers. Instead, folks will now have to use paper bags which will cost shoppers five cents.

This move was made after it was estimated by the New York State Plastic Bag Task Force that New York residents use 23 billion plastic bags every year! It was also said that many times, those bags end up in waterways and landfills or littering trees, which could also harm wildlife.

However, the state will wait until April 1 to penalize stores that violate it. According to NBC New York, the state has planned to enforce the ban by issuing a warning to retailers who violate the law for the first time. Retailers could face a $250 fine for a subsequent violation and a $500 fine for violations in the same calendar year.

The news site notes that New York’s ban exempts bags used for restaurant takeout food, plastic bags used to wrap meat, and bags used for prepared food.

According to Fox News, Mikaela was arrested early Saturday morning around 6:30 a.m. in Nashville, Tenn. The news site reported that she was arrested for the charge of domestic assault, a misdemeanor, and her fiancé Chuck Pankow even confirmed the news saying, “It is true,” Pankow told Fox News in a statement, adding that the incident was “a misunderstanding.”

Her fiancé, 47, did not disclose where the incident occurred or who was involved. However, he did confirm that the director’s daughter is ok. Fox News shared that Mikaela was taken to the Hill Detention Center, where an individual posted a $1,000 bond on her behalf, an official said.

Mikaela’s alleged arrest comes just a little over one week after she told The Sun that she wanted to become a sex worker. She described herself as a “sexual creature” who has already begun filming “solo” adult entertainment videos.

Despite the negative feedback, Mikaela also told the outlet that making porn has actually helped her overcome anxiety and bipolar disorder. Those were issues that apparently had been worsened by being bullied as a child, not only for her weight but because of her famous last name.

Yup, you read that right. According to The Washington Post, Steyer was set to make the announcement Saturday night in Columbia, S.C. that he was dropping out of the White House race. This comes as a shock to some as it was known that he spent nearly $24 million into his bid!

However, his departure did come after a disappointing finish in the South Carolina Democratic primary. With 56 percent of the vote in, Steyer had just 11.7 percent of the vote — even despite spending millions of dollars on campaigning there. It was said that he finished behind former Vice President Joe Biden and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders on Saturday.

As this is all still developing, we just got word that Steyers has made a small statement,

“This has been a great experience. I have zero regrets,” Steyer said, CBS News quoted.

Just a few days after Donald Trump addressed the nation on the coronavirus, letting folks know that Americans are at “very low risk,” it was reported the first death from the virus in the U.S., has just been confirmed this Saturday.

The person died in King County, Washington, the state’s Department of Health said. Gov. Jay Inslee released a statement saying, “It is a sad day in our state as we learn that a Washingtonian has died from COVID-19. Our hearts go out to his family and friends. We will continue to work toward a day where no one dies from this virus.”

He went on to explain how they plan to handle this moving forward,

“In partnership with the Washington State Department of Health, the Washington State Department of Emergency Management and local and community health partners, we are strengthening our preparedness and response efforts. I am committed to keeping Washingtonians healthy, safe and informed,” he said.

The novel coronavirus has killed more than 2,900 people worldwide, the vast majority in mainland China. There have been more than 85,000 global cases, with infections on every continent except Antarctica.

No further details were shared. However, President Donald Trump is currently at the White House getting ready to hold a press conference about the latest developments on the outbreak.

Trader Joe’s Founder Joe Coulombe Dies At 89

#Socialites, we have some unfortunate news to share. Joe Coulombe, the guy who founded Trader Joe’s, one of the biggest grocery chains in the country, has sadly passed away.

It was said that Coulombe, also known as Two Buck Chuck, died on Friday at his home in Pasadena, Ca after battling a long illness, his son also named Joe, said in a statement. Coulombe, who created Trader Joe’s markets with a vision that college-educated but poorly paid young people would actually buy healthy foods if they could only afford them, was 89-years-old.

Coulombe opened his first store in California back in 1967. He stocked it with a bunch of granola and organic foods that he bought directly from suppliers to hold prices down, according to 5NewsOnline.com. Eventually, he expanded to a wide range of items. That store is still operating and it’s in its original location.

In 1979, Joe sold the company to German grocery retailer Aldi Nord. He retired from the company in 1988, nine years later when Trader Joe’s had 19 stores. Now, the chain has more than 500 stores in 42 states and the District of Columbia.

Joe is survived by his wife Alice Steere, their 3 kids and 6 grandchildren.

Hood is expected to transition into her role as CEO after serving as vice president of operations, strategy, and planning for FedEx Custom Critical. However, her initial position at FedEx was that of a receptionist when she was just 19-years-old and a single mother.

In 1991, she was in search of a full-time job, so Hood started her career at FedEx, previously known as Roberts Express. Over the years Hood showed dedication, loyalty and went the extra mile to find ways the company could improvw. One of her ideas was a program that would allow employees to work from home.

“At that time, it was not common to have call centers where you would have individuals working from home,” she said. “I looked at our processes and the technology that we had, and I realized nothing was preventing us from that.” While there, Hood also earned a business management degree from Walsh University and an Executive MBA from Case Western Reserve University Weatherhood School of Management. 

Hood gave a little insight on her plans as the new CEO, saying,

“The next thing I’ll be doing is going out and spending time with customers and independent contractors,” Hood said. “I’m defining that as my ‘listen and learn tour.”

Jackie Chan is speaking out to let fans know that he is OK despite reports claiming he has been placed under quarantine over the coronavirus. Chan took to social media and released a statement through his official website to deny those reports. While doing that, he also made it clear that he’s “very healthy and safe.”

In his statement, Chan also thanked fans from around the world for sending him gifts, including face masks. He even asked his employees to donate the supplies to various organizations.

Firstly, I’d like to take this opportunity to say “thank you” for everybody’s concern! I’m very healthy and safe, and haven’t been quarantined. I’ve received many messages from friends asking if I’m ok. Your love and concern is so heartwarming. Thank you!”

He went on to say,

“I’ve also received some very special gifts from fans all over the world during this very difficult time. Thank you for the face masks. Your thoughtfulness is well received! And I’ve asked my lovely staff to donate your kindness through official organizations to those who need it most.”

As we previously reported, Skai recently filed the restraining order after the 16-year-old threatened to kill her in an Instagram Live video earlier this week. It was also said that she was annoyed that Skai kept trying to go after the guys that she used to talk to like rapper NBA Young Boy.

According to docs obtained by TMZ, Skai says she’s fearful to leave her house by herself, hasn’t slept well since the threats were made. In addition to that, she feels Bhad Bhabie is mentally unstable. Looks like the judge sided with Skai and granted her the restraining order. Bhad Bhabie now has to stay 100 yards away from Skai, her home and workplace … she also can’t contact Skai in any form.

While Bhad Bhabie responded to the restraining order by saying, “Go get your restraining order, Imma go get checks,” she hasn’t reacted to the restraining order being granted.

Pop Smoke’s Family Releases Statement on Rapper’s Tragic Death

It’s only been a little over a week since we lost rapper Pop Smoke. As we previously reported, the rising star was shot to death at his home in Hollywood Hills on Feb 19. Cops have not caught the person responsible for the crime just yet and his family is still desperately seeking answers.

The first reports that came out said Pop was shot during a robbery gone wrong. It was later revealed that it was a targeted hit instead. While cops are still investigating the shooting, Pop Smoke’s family has decided to release a statement to thank fans and others for their support in the wake of the young artist’s tragic death, and also to urge the public for “respect and responsible reporting” during this critical time. 

“The family of Bashar ‘Pop Smoke’ Jackson would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone for your support. Every prayer, call, and act of kindness is deeply appreciated as we mourn the loss of our son, brother, and friend. Brooklyn knew him as Bashar. He was educated and nurtured in Brooklyn and his rise to fame all developed from the place he proudly represented. Within the last year, his extraordinary giftedness was revealed to the world, introducing Pop Smoke.”

Deputies Under Fire For Allegedly Sharing Graphic Photos Of Kobe Bryant Crash Scene

According to a report by The Los Angeles Times, it was recently discovered that LA County sheriff’s deputies shared graphic photos from the scene of the helicopter crash where NBA star Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven others lost their lives.

TMZ notes that a report says that at least one L.A. County Sheriff’s official had the gruesome photos on his cellphone “in a setting that had nothing to do with the investigation.” As of right now, it is not exactly clear who took the photos, but it was being talked about by first responders just 2 days after the crash, according to the L.A. Times.

While the Sheriff’s Department has not released a full statement on this situation, they did tell the news site that “the matter is being looked into.”

Shocking Update:

TMZ just reported that Law enforcement sources say multiple L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies who responded to the crash scene took photos that included remains. However, it was said that one of the deputies —- reportedly a trainee — took photos and at some point went to a bar and, as one source put it, “He tried to impress a girl by showing her the photos.” Apparently, the bartender overheard the conversation and filed an online complaint with the Sheriff’s Dept.

The source told the news site that the cell phone photos were passed around at the Lost Hills Sheriff’s substation — the first responders to the crash. No further details were shared.

Skai Jackson is not playing any games! The actress recently found herself in some drama with Bhad Bhabie on social media earlier this week, and things got a little out of control as the rapper threatened to kill her!

Apparently, Bhad Bhabie was frustrated that Skai kept trolling her from a “fake” Instagram page. Specifically, the argument surrounded Danielle’s recent connection to rapper NBA YoungBoy, who she believes Jackson is also into at the same time. Things got so heated that both girls’ mothers even jumped into the online fight to defend their daughters.

While Skai’s mother Kiya Cole let it be known that she’s not the one to mess with, Bhad Bhabie’s mother Barbara Bregoli also tried to clap back. Although things seemed pretty heated up in that moment, it looks like Skai and her mom has taken further steps to make sure it doesn’t get any worse. According to The Blast, Skai filed a restraining order against the 16-year-old entertainer in Los Angeles County Courts for “civil harassment” after she says she took the death threat very seriously which was leveled against her online.

In the docs obtained by the news site, Skai cites one Instagram video in particular where Bregoli is going off on her and can be heard saying, “You’re so small, if I get my hands on you…it’s over with,” and then “Bitch, I’ll kill you! I’ll really kill you!” during a live session. Skai reportedly felt the threat against her life was credible enough. So, she is asking a judge in Los Angeles to order Bhad Bhabie to stay away from her and stop with the death threats.

As of right now, it’s unclear if the judge signed off on it, but eventually, the two will have to sort it all out in court.

While the Coronavirus has killed hundreds of people over in China, people here in the US are still on edge because of the updated reports. According to the latest one, for the first time, a US patient has contracted the deadly virus with no clue as to where it came from!

Here’s what we know: the California patient didn’t travel anywhere known to have the virus, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It was also said that the patient wasn’t exposed to anyone known to be infected. What this means is that this could be the first US case of “community spread” of the virus, when the source of the infection is unknown.

The Solano County resident was taken to UC Davis Medical Center last week. However, the
person wasn’t tested for coronavirus until Sunday, according to a letter sent Wednesday to UC Davis staff and obtained by CNN. Dr. Dean Blumberg, an infectious disease specialist at UC Davis Medical Center said the mysterious nature of this case is significant.

“That suggests that the virus is out there in the community, and that means pretty much that everybody’s at risk,” he told CNN affiliate KCRA. “We don’t know who might be carrying it. We don’t know who we can get it from.”

As for whoever passed the virus to the UC Davis patient, “that other person probably exposed other people,” Blumberg said.
“And you have to realize that this virus is so new, that none of us have any immunity to it. So, anybody who’s exposed is at high risk of getting infected with this,” CNN quotes.

Quaden Bayles’ Family Donating The 500K From GoFundMe Page To Charity

As we previously reported, comedian Brad Williams set up a GoFundMe account to help send 9-year-old Quaden Bayles and his family to Disneyland. He made this move after Bayles’ mother posted a video which showed the little boy crying and saying he wanted to kill himself after being bullied at school due to his dwarfism.

His mother also shared that Bayles has been bullied many times before and only wanted to post the video on social media to encourage folks to stop bullying. Now, despite social media users claiming this was all a scam and that Bayles was actually a teen, some of his family members spoke to local outlets in Australia and confirmed that he is 9-years-old, and provided old clips of news coverages on Bayles to prove it. It was also noted that the family never said they were in need of money, but still thanked the public for donating.

Nearly $500K has been raised on the GoFundme page and now many people want to know where exactly their donation is going. According to the latest update by The Blast, the Bayles family has decided to give all the money away. They also have declined the trip to Disneyland. The boy’s mother reportedly spoke to the media in Australia, telling them while they appreciate the touching gesture they are going to skip the trip to focus on the bigger issue at hand.

“What kid wouldn’t want to go to Disneyland, especially if you have lived Quaden’s life. To escape to anywhere that is fun that doesn’t remind him of his day to day challenges,” his aunt told NITV News.

She continued,

“But my sister said ‘you know what, let’s get back to the real issue’. This little fella has been bullied. How many suicides, black or white, in our society have happened due to bullying. We want the money to go to community organizations that really need it. They know what the money should be spent on, So as much as we want to go to Disneyland, I think our community would far off benefit from that,” The Blast quotes.

It was said that the family has chosen two organizations to receive the money: ‘Dwarfism Awareness Australia and Balunu Healing Foundation. “We need to come together and work out how to make sure young people like Quaden don’t have to deal with what they have been dealing with,” Ms. Bayles said.
