Speaking of debates, recently Fat Joe compared Drake to Michael Jackson. “Drake is possibly the hardest person to get in touch with,” he said. “Let’s be clear. Every song he does goes No. 1. Nas just dropped a fire teaser on a project he’s been working on with Hit-Boy and on the song  “Ultra Black,” he calls out Doja Cat for her lack of love for being black.

In the song, Nas raps, “Unapologetically Black/The opposite of Doja Cat.”

If you recall, Doja Cat went viral back in May for trending on Twitter and was dragged into a #DojaCatIsOverParty after videos resurfaced of her on Tinychat — a popular chatting platform — talking with alt-right, anti-black incels — a short word for involuntary celibate, which is used to refer to men whose misogyny stems from being undesirable. In addition to the videos, message boards claimed the singer has allegedly admitted to hating her blackness, and only liking her “thick” and “light skin” features.

She was also called out for her song “Dindu Muffin’ which apparently is a phrase that mocks the deaths of black people at the hands of police brutality and other injustices.

Doja hasn’t responded to Nas, but social media certainly did.

The world was left in shock after learning that Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna had passed away on January 26, 2020 in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California.

Over the years Kobe Bryant and his legacy made an impact on Los Angeles and Orange county where he lived for the most of his 20-year career.

Per TMZ, on Tuesday the Orange County Board of Supervisors voted to honor the star with a day dedicated to him.

“During his career, Kobe Bryant’s numbers on his jerseys were 8 and 24, therefore a fitting day to celebrate his legacy would be August 24,” the resolution declared.

Kobe has roots in Orange County and did a lot for the community, as well as his family living there. He was known as a Good Samaritan who was always helping people in need.

“Kobe Bryant was a basketball legend that inspired so many globally to pursue their dreams and taught us that hard work truly pays off,” the resolution added.

Officials also offered suggestions on how Kobe Day could be spent, “by engaging in community building, helping young people in need, encouraging aspiring youth to follow their dreams, and living by Bryant’s words: ‘The most important thing is to try and inspire people so that they could be great in whatever they want to do.'”

Draya Michele To Star In Own Docu-Series On Zeus!

Draya Michele is making a return to your screens and this time it’s her own Docu-series!

The 10-part series, “Doses of Draya,” revolves around a behind-the-scenes look at her life and work, and it will be on Zeus.

“I’ve been on a pretty incredible journey over the past decade, and I’m grateful to my fans who have been with me through the ups and downs,” Draya said in a statement per Variety. “As a woman of color, I couldn’t be more excited to be working with Zeus, a Black-owned streaming service, to share my story, and to let people into my daily life in a way I never really have before.”

She added, “I’ve come a long way, from humble beginnings, and have continued to reinvent myself and evolve my brands over and over. I hope my fans have appreciated my honesty along the way.”

Draya will be the executive producer for the series, that will exclusively stream on Zeus.

Last Remaining Blockbuster Store Turned Into AirBnB To Host End Of Summer Sleepover

We are stuck indoors right now, but gone are the days of driving down to your local Blockbuster store  for a Friday night flick.

Most of the stores are currently non-existent, but Sandi Harding, the manager of the last surviving Blockbuster in Bend, Oregon, is transforming the store into an Airbnb for just three nights only to mark the end of the summer with an epic sleepover.

Those who manage to secure a reservation will get the keys to the entire store, all the movies, games. There will be a living room accompanied by a pull-out couch, bean bags, lamps, and pillows. You will also get free pizza, Pepsi, candy, and popcorn!

According to the site, reservations can be made from Monday at 1 PM PT, however, you have to be a resident of Deschutes County to book the Blockbuster for one night. The overnight sleepovers are set for Sept. 18-20 and the place accommodates up to four people. Apparently, it is only $4 a night! There will be face masks and hand sanitizer on-site because 2020 hasn’t forgotten about us.

Sandi said she wanted to give the opportunity to the locals for their support of the store over the years.
