A Texas mother is sending a warning out there to those who use hand sanitizer, after she caught fire.
Kate Wise is currently suffering from severe facial and body wounds. The incident occurred on Sunday after she put her three daughters to bed and then applied hand sanitizer. She then went to light a candle in her home.
According to KHOU, the flame came in contact with the sanitizer on her hands and “consumed in flames” in a matter of seconds.
“It can be something as small as lighting a candle. Because of the hand sanitizer, it just lit my whole… everywhere I had hand sanitizer, it just lit my hand with fire,” she said of the horrifying incident.
Wise had second- and third-degree burns from head to toe covering 18% of her body. She was taken to the hospital.
“What appears to have happened is she used hand sanitizer and then went to light a candle — and hand sanitizer is flammable,” said Will Hampton of the Round Rock fire department . “This stuff is at least 62 percent alcohol, so folks need to be careful.”

Pregnant Woman Has Unborn Baby Cut Out After Being Lured To Party By Friend
A pregnant woman was savagely murdered when her unborn baby was cut from her body after she was lured to a fake baby shower by a friend.
Flávia Godinho Mafra from Brazil was 36 weeks pregnant when her body was discovered by her husband, Valdeli Mafra, on August 28. Their child was missing from her womb.
According to local station, NSC Total, the autopsy showed that the 24-year-old passed away from wounds to her abdomen and injuries caused by a brick. Flávia worked as a teacher and was “always willing to help people, was killed by a friend who “intended to steal the baby” after luring her to a “supposed baby shower”.
Luckily, police found the baby girl after the suspect and her husband took her to the hospital. They were soon arrested. Apparently, the 26-year-old had a miscarriage and continued to Lie about being pregnant with plans to steal Flàvia’s child.
The report noted that “Flávia disappeared on Thursday afternoon when she left for the supposed baby shower that would take place in São João Batista.”
“Two other friends were aware of the event, but were told the day that the event had been cancelled.”
Loved ones became concerned after she didn’t return from the baby shower. Her body was found the next day.
