TDA Papi Is Trending Worldwide And You Heard It Here First!
TDA Papi is a name you will be hearing more and more stateside as he is a trending artist in the Dominican Republic, making his way worldwide, winning his audience with his unique style, music, and dancing.
Having worked and collaborated with top Latin artists like Jon Z, Chimbala, El Mayor Classico, Treinti Siete, Shelow Shaq, and Leslie Shaw and creating hit songs. Working with top producers who have also worked with many mainstream artists such as Bad Bunny, Kanye West, and Britney Spears.
We spoke with the artist himself who touched on the inspirations behind his music.
“My inspiration and creativity can come at any time or day. It can be from a beautiful random stranger walking down the street to even my day-to-day life interactions. I love to celebrate the essence of women from all over the world through my music.”
Papi explains while his career has been lucrative there have been times when has had to break down many barriers.
“Being in the music industry, I think people try to box you into a certain category, and when you’re new and different, people don’t know how to handle it. But I feel I’m not meant to be pushed into a category that’s what makes me different and causes headlines and attention. Im focused on just being myself, at the end of the day some of the biggest artists we have now, had a challenge because they were different as well.”
In the next few months, Papi plans to make his mark internationally and show the world what he has in store for them. His latest musical release is his first English-titled song called ‘Lavender Girl.’
“I was so mesmerized by this woman’s lavender scent that I felt I would smell it everywhere I go. Seemed like I could not get away from it. That’s the inspiration to this song.”
The video for the songs centers around a dance visual showcasing TDA Papi’s dancing skills. TDA has worked alongside the well-known choreographer Bash Johnson. He has worked with big artists such as Mariah Carey, Kanye West, and much more. Together they were able to bring the vision to life.
