Based on the best-selling novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid, Daisy Jones & The Six is a musical-drama series detailing the rise and precipitous fall of a renowned rock band.

In 1977, Daisy Jones & The Six were on top of the world. Fronted by two charismatic lead singers—Daisy Jones (Riley Keough) and Billy Dunne (Sam Claflin)—the band had risen from obscurity to fame. This is the story of how an iconic band imploded at the height of its powers.

Elizabeth Banks On Bringing Cocaine Bear To Life & Working With Ray Liotta On His Final Feature Film

Elizabeth Banks On Bringing Cocaine Bear To Life & Working With Ray Liotta On His Final Feature Film

Ahead of the highly anticipated release of Universal Pictures’ Cocaine Bear, we sat down with Elizabeth Banks, who is taking over the industry on and off the screen with her acting abilities and directorial talents.

Banks, steps in as director for Cocaine Bear, takes the film to a new level and sets the tone for women in the industry in action and gore. While the film is loosely based on a factual incident where a bear passed away after ingesting drugs, in this film it is almost as if that bear is coming back to seek its revenge. The 500-pound black bear consumes a significant amount of cocaine and embarks on a drug-fueled rampage, as a group of cops, criminals, tourists, and teenagers gather in a Georgia forest.

We spoke to Banks on her mission going into the film, and showing the world that women can take on these genres and make the gripping entertaining films! We also touched on Elizabeth’s close friendship with the late Ray Liotta, who sadly passed away shortly after filming Cocaine Bear.

#PressPlay above for the full interview and catch Cocaine Bear in theaters February 24!
