Author Eric Jerome Dickey Passes Away After Battling Cancer At 59

New York Times bestselling author Eric Jerome Dickey has passed away at 59 in Los Angeles.

The news was confirmed by his Penguin Random House publicist Emily Canders. She said Dickey passed away on Sunday but didn’t disclose any further details as reported by the Associated Press. Before his writing career, Dickey was a stand-up comedian and actor and started writing his contemporary novels in his mid-30s which led to classics such as “Sister, Sister”, “Naughty or Nice”, “Chasing Destiny”, “Chasing Destiny”, “The Other Woman”, “Genevieve”, “Sleeping With Strangers”, “Walking With Enemies” and the “Gideon” series. He is survived by his four daughters.

Throughout his career, Dickey has published 29 novels and sold more than 7 million copies globally. His last novel, “The Son of Mr. Suleman”, will be released in April.
