Atlanta realtor and makeup artist Me’Chele Daves went viral this past weekend after taking to her TikTok to reveal that one of her worst nightmares had come true. With proof of her purchase plastered behind her on the screen, Daves admitted that she had a brain fart and ended up missing Bey’s concert, despite plugging the big event into her phone’s calendar.
Daves said that she bought two tickets, valued at over $500, for her and her daughter to go see Beyoncé at Atlanta’s Mercedes Benz Stadium on Friday, August 11, 2023. The woman said that she swore up and down that she bought tickets to go see Bey, who’s in Atlanta for three shows, on Monday, August 14. However, that was NOT the case.
Daves said that when she woke up on Saturday (August 12) and realized that she missed the ‘Renaissance‘ concert she actually bought tickets for, she was so upset and emotional. In complete disbelief, she shared her story with her followers and said, “I can’t even believe what I’m about to tell you. Bought tickets immediately when they dropped for Atlanta. So, I put in in my calendar and had everything ready. Didn’t have an outfit, but I figured I had time, and I had it in my calendar.”
Daves then said her daughter was going to tag along, so she ended up spending over $500 for the two tickets. On Friday (August 11), Daves said that her friend FaceTime’d her from night one of three in Atlanta, and she became excited to see Bey, on what she thought would be Monday (August 14). Daves said her birthday is on August 16, so she was getting more and more excited.
Then reality set in after she woke up on Saturday and checked her tickets to “make sure everything was still good.” As she realized the mishap, she said, “I. Am. SICK. Do you hear me? Siiiick!” In another video, Daves remained in disbelief and added that she had been avoiding watching clips posted on social media of all of Bey’s other tour stops.
The Atlanta woman was so excited to see Bey for her birthday, but just couldn’t believe she had bought tickets on the wrong day. She continued to ask herself, “Why didn’t I check?” Daves then began to question her love for Beyoncé, asking, “Am I even a fan?” Then she admitted that “life has just been life’ing.”
Despite getting backlash from trolls in the comments, claiming she was making things up for clout and trying to go viral, Daves mustered up the strength to not only clap back with more videos, maintaining her truth; but she attempted to get last minute tickets to go see Bey that night: Saturday (August 12).
Daves said her last minute plan didn’t work out how she thought, but turned out even better! She revealed that she and a friend ended up getting free tickets to the ‘Renaissance‘ concert and she had a blast!
