Arizona Man Ordered To Pay Fine After Faking His Own Kidnapping To Evade Work

Brandon Soules, a 19-year-old Coolidge, Arizona man, has been ordered to pay a fine after faking his kidnapping in order to evade going to work.

Prior to his arrest, on February 10, Coolidge Police found Soules near a water tower with his hands behind his back and a bandana stuffed in his mouth. Soules says two masked men kidnapped him in front of his home and knocked him unconscious before dumping him near the tower. He says their motive was due to his father hiding a large sum of money around town.

However, after they finished their investigation, law enforcement officials say the motive was fabricated and surveillance footage showed zero signs of him being hit over the head and stuffed into his car to be true. Subsequently, on February 17, Soules was officially arrested for false reporting to police. He ended up admitting that he lied about the story as an excuse to get out of work. So now, not only has been fired from his job at the The Tire Factory, but has been ordered to pay a $550 fine. #Socialites, thoughts?
