Things got very weird on the WNBA court this week, but Angel Reese was ready to call out the chaos.
During the third quarter of the Atlanta Dream’s blowout 124-88 win over the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday, Aug. 20, the game was interrupted by a shocking projectile: a bright green sex toy. As Sparks player Jihyun Park was lining up for free throws, the object landed on the court, and Reese—who was waiting at the scorer’s table—immediately jumped into action, pointing out the person responsible in the stands.
“Up there, up there,” Reese could be seen saying as she pointed animatedly into the stands. Before the cameras shifted focus, the 24-year-old star even appeared to gesture to someone regarding the size of the object.
While the identity of the person who threw the item remains under wraps, this unfortunately isn’t a one-time occurrence. The WNBA saw at least three similar incidents involving sex toys thrown onto the court just last season.

One notable moment occurred during a Phoenix Mercury and Connecticut Sun matchup, where an 18-year-old was taken into custody after tossing a green sex toy that struck a man and his 9-year-old niece. He later told Fox 10 Phoenix that the stunt was just a “stupid prank that was trending on social media.”
Despite the bizarre distraction, the Dream dominated the night. After dropping 20 points in the win, Reese kept it moving, hitting X to share her signature victory post: “DUBS IN THE MF CHATTT.”
