According to the leaked document, the victim was afraid that the Tate brothers would release intimate photos of her if she tried to leave, as happened to another woman. According to the BBC, Andrew and Tristan Tae are currently being held in preventative custody in Romania while police investigate allegations of human trafficking and rape.

Furthermore, the victim stated that she was not permitted to leave the brothers’ residence unless accompanied by one of them. Without signing a contract, the victim was required to meet a quota on Tiktok and OnlyFans in 2021. The brothers allegedly had a content schedule and gave the victim a 50 percent commission while the brothers and their alleged manager took their share.

Some of the brothers’ alleged victims said the group did not exploit them. Still, court officials said, “these statements do not reflect reality, as… the victims of human trafficking do not always recognize that they have been enslaved and exploited”. Both Andrew and Tristan have maintained their innocence. A clinical psychologist said the women were brainwashed since the brothers allegedly used tactics to convince the women to fall in love with them, claiming they wanted a relationship or marriage.

‘Although the named [woman one] and [woman two], both in the statements given before the criminal investigation bodies, as witnesses, and through the authenticated statements given before the notary and submitted by the defense to the case file, denied any form of exploitation on the part of the four defendants, the collegial panel of rights and freedoms appreciates that these statements do not reflect reality. It is known that, in the case of the ‘lover boy’ or ‘by falling in love’ recruitment method, the victims of human trafficking do not always recognize the fact that they were enslaved and exploited and do not cooperate with the judicial bodies, attesting to the idea that these activities were carried out voluntarily.’

After the brothers were escorted out of court earlier this week, Andrew yelled at reporters, ‘You will find out the truth of this case soon.’ The brothers and their accomplices, Georgiana Naghel and Launa Radu, will remain in jail until February 27.
