Amber Rose Is teaching Her 7-Year-Old About Consent, Sex And Periods: ‘I’m Not Hiding Nothing From My Son’
Amber Rose is making sure that she is the best parent to her son by teaching him important life lessons at an early age.

While appearing on Jada Pinkett Smith’s “Red Table Talk,” show, the star revealed she has already discussed topics of consent, women’s health, and sex with her 7-year-old son Sebastian.
“He knows everything,” Rose said. “I’m not hiding nothing from my son. My son knows what a period is.” She shared that he even comes and sits in the bathroom with her to talk and will ask, ‘Mommy, do you have your period?’ Rose said she makes sure to answer her son honestly: “I’m like, ‘No, not right now, but I will.’ And he’s like, ‘Do you need a tampon? Do you need a pad?’ I say that to say my son who is seven, and I don’t feel like it’s too soon. Because once he hits 13 and the girls in his classroom are getting their periods, and the boys are like that’s disgusting, she’s bleeding, he’ll be like, ‘That’s nothing.’”
In addition to that, she says she even covers the importance of consent with her smart baby boy. She said she used an example of him jokingly grabbing her butt in order to open up a conversation about the necessity of consent in all situations:
“He’s like, ‘Mom, you’ve got a jiggly butt,’ and he’ll just come behind me and jiggle my butt,” she said, to which she responds by gently telling him, “That’s my private area, and you don’t touch Mommy’s private area, OK? Rose says he understands and he also gets that the same applies to other women — including when he’s at dad Wiz Khalifa’s house. “His dad’s a rapper,” she said, noting with subtle shade that while she believes she and ex-husband Khalifa co-parent very well, “it’s a different dynamic over there.”
During the conversation with Smith, 49, her daughter, Willow Smith, 19, and her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, 67, as well as fellow episode guest Rumer Willis, 32, Rose also revealed that one of her former long time boyfriends had sex with her without her consent.
