Amazon Worker Charged With First-Degree Murder After Alleged Shooting of Coworker in Illinois
An Amazon employee is in police custody after being accused of fatally shooting his coworker during a physical altercation at a facility in Illinois.
According to Us Weekly, 20-year-old Quentin S. Williams Jr. has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of 27-year-old Travion R. Taylor. Investigators from the Melrose Park Police Department said the shooting occurred on June 4 in a controlled-access parking garage at the Amazon fulfillment center shortly after 9:00 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene, Taylor was found suffering from gunshot wounds.

Authorities stated in a press release that the incident began as a physical altercation between multiple individuals.
“During a physical altercation, the offender produced a semi-automatic rifle and discharged multiple rounds in the direction of the two individuals, striking the victim in the back,” officials said. The third individual’s identity was not released.
Police added that Williams fled the scene shortly after the shooting. He was later taken into custody. Officials have not released additional details regarding what led to the altercation. The case remains under investigation.
Williams now faces a first-degree murder charge as the legal process moves forward.
