Actress Janet Hubert Weighs In On Alec Baldwin Movie Shooting: “My First Thought Was Baldwin Was Given This Gun On Purpose”

“Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star Janet Hubert is the latest actress to weigh in on Alec Baldwin’s accidental movie shooting.

In a tweet shared late Tuesday, Hubert said she believes the veteran entertainer was actually given the loaded “prop gun” on purpose. Hubert thinks someone was trying to get back at the star over his Trump impersonations.

“Am I crazy, but my first thought was Baldwin was given this gun on purpose from someone to get back at him for his Trump impersonations? I have never seen prop guns sitting out on set EVER😲 Then to photograph his pain and give it to the press! Hmmmm, so very heartless, TRUMPERS?”

As we previously reported, last week, Baldwin, 63, fired a prop gun on the Sante Fe, New Mexico film set, accidentally killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injuring another crew member.

Alec himself has issued a brief statement on Twitter in which he expressed his condolences to the Hutchins family and noted that he was in touch with them following the incident.
While local authorities in New Mexico continue to investigate the incident, a source told PEOPLE that the actor is getting support from wife Hilaria and his children.
