Many were shocked and angry when news broke that Jennifer Lopez and many other deserving actors were left out of the Oscars nominations.
Well, according to the NY POST, Terry Moore, who is a part of the academy reveals why she was allegedly snubbed for an Oscar nomination and adds that she should “Get over it.”
“I would have been shocked if she did get it,” added Moore, who is a longtime member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts.
Apparently, some of Hollywood didn’t think the movie was even worthy of an Oscar nomination, let alone an award.
“First of all, ‘Hustlers’ is not an ‘Oscar movie.’ It’s a little too rough around the edges, and I’m assuming some other people in the acting category didn’t see it,” said another longtime character actor and Academy member.
Hustlers: An entertaining, genuinely moving, and deceptively thoughtful exploration of sex work, sisterhood, and class featuring a world-class triple threat performance that was shot in 29 days.
