New year, new Trick! The Miami rap legend has decided to say goodbye to his 30-year-old grills for some new fresh pearly whites!

Trick Daddy has been rocking his golden chompers since 1994 and he was finally ready for a change after refusing to visit the dentist for over 15 years, according to TMZ who spoke with Danielle Noguera, CEO of 5 Star Smiles.

Noguera says the rap star had a bit of a wake-up call when he was given some clarity about his oral health. Trick reportedly had permanent caps that decayed his teeth and it was so bad that he had to undergo bone loss surgery and currently has temporary fillings in place as his gums heal. He’ll have the bottom teeth removed next week. While he has gotten pretty far in his treatment, the final round will be done in about two months. He’ll have a mouthful of porcelain veneers being the final result! It was said that Trick has spent $60k on treatment thus far.

According to the news site, fans of “Love & Hip Hop: Miami” will be able to see his transformation journey as he’s been documenting the entire procedure. The final results will also be in the new season’s first episode later this year.

More Stars Who Went The Veneer Route

Last year, Lamar Odom went for a four-hour procedure at Dr. Victoria Veytsman’s office in Beverly Hills, CA to get his teeth done. It was a pretty big move for Lamar who is known for being terrified of going to the dentist. He appeared on “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” years ago and admitted to not getting his teeth checked out for 7 years.

The 43-year-old found the courage to get dental work and popped out with brand new teeth… which cost a pretty penny; a nearly $80,000 procedure, per the outlet. “I now have the million-dollar smile,” he told TMZ at the time.

Model Jordyn Woods also decided to close her gap with the veneer method. In a 2018 interview, she explained, “I never disliked my smile or anything — I wanted to try something new and I found the doctor that I trusted,” Woods told Refinery29 in a phone interview for her new lash collection with Eylure. “It may take a second for people to get used to it, but life is about evolving. It was a bittersweet thing. I wouldn’t say it’s better or anything — it’s just the new version of me.”

Earlier this year, rapper Lil Pump also dropped a bag to get a new smile. He also went to 5 Star Smiles a company with plenty of experience with celebs including Lil Meech, Erica Mena, the Clermont Twins, and more.

More On Veneers

Dental veneers are a simple option to improve your smile. They’re thin coverings that are placed over the front part of your tooth that look like natural teeth. Veneers can also be used to correct a wide range of dental issues, like stained, chipped, crooked, or damaged teeth. They can even help conceal uneven spaces between teeth.
