Lil Baby is becoming a trending topic on social media tonight after performing one of his hit songs, “California Breeze,” at the 2023 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards!
Social Media Reacts To Lil Baby Performing “California Breeze” At The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards
Before taking to the stage, internet sensation turned TV personality That Girl Lay Lay introduced Baby to the stage, referring to him as “her man Lil Baby.”
Social media users not only reacted to her harmless mention, but also the song choice that the Atlanta rapper performed. Baby ended up singing one of his songs from his album ‘It’s Only Me,’ called “California Breeze.”
Now, the song is laced is explicit lyrics, street talk and sexual content — which was another reason why social media took to Twitter in shock of Lil Baby not only being at the Kids’ Choice Awards, but performing.
Although the song’s lyrics were cleaned up a bit — like most songs played and performed at the show that contain any explicit content — one Twitter user asked, “Why would they have Lil Baby perform ‘California Breeze’ at the Nick Kids’ Choice Awards?”
Another user said, “Lil Baby? Now what song he got that’s child appropriate?”
And while other social users were just simply shocked to see Lil Baby performing at the KCA’s in general, one user even pointed out that he also used his time on screen to promote his baby mama Jayda Cheaves’ Waydamin clothing brand during his performance.
