Michael Jackson allegedly used 19 fake IDs in order to obtain his drugs, including Propofol, according to a new documentary, “TMZ Investigates: Who Really Killed Michael Jackson,” which is set for a release on Fox next month. Assistant chief coroner for LA County, Ed Winter, made the somewhat shocking remark, claiming the late King of Pop, who would have celebrated his 64th birthday on Monday, had been taking his dose of Propofol in “Gatorade”-size bottles in the lead-up to his death in June 2009.

The doc by TMZ, which landed the news outlet its big break as the first to report on MJ’s demise at the time, is said to also touch on Dr. Murray’s relationship with Jackson, given that he was heavily blamed by fans and family members of the singer, convinced that if he hadn’t given MJ the Propofol, he would still be alive today. But apparently, Jackson was abusing drugs long before Murray came on board as his client’s personal doctor, having taken “alarming doses” of several drugs to help him sleep at night.

Many will recall how Jackson suffered second and third-degree burns after his hair caught on fire while filming a Pepsi commercial back in 1984, which led him to use painkillers in order to mend the agony from the injuries he endured during the disastrous shoot. From that point onward, drugs had taken over his life, with Winter explaining how things had gotten so bad for the star that he eventually began using 19 fake IDs to obtain a bunch of different drugs. His former plastic surgeon Dr. Harry Glassman even said, “Michael is responsible, to a great extent, for his own demise, but he certainly had a lot of help from the medical community.”

“The way that Michael went about getting all these drugs was doctor shopping. He had multiple, different doctors that he was involved with and he would go to ‘Doctor A’ and ask for a sedative, and then he would go to ‘Doctor B’ and may ask for the same one.”

While Murray was under the impression he was the only doctor Jackson was seeing at the time that he was hired, he would later uncover that there were other physicians on his payroll that were providing him with drugs in combination with what he was being described from Murray.

“He made it look as though I was his sole physician … If I had known that Michael was going to a dermatologist’s office or any doctor and being shot up or dripped up with opioids on a daily basis, there would be a two-step dance. One, he has a problem; two, I’ll take you to where you need to be treated — and if you fail to do that, I am out.”
