Following her 20-year prison sentencing in court last month, it’s been reported that Ghislaine Maxwell will be spending her time scrubbing toilets and cleaning dishes while incarcerated. According to the Daily Mail, the disgraced former socialite, who was found guilty of trafficking underage girls to the late Jeffrey Epstein, will make as little as 15 cents per hour, which is a far cry from the money she was making being Jeffrey’s accomplice.

Ghislaine has traded in her lavish lifestyle for two decades behind bars, and according to sources, her first few months will perhaps be her most challenging. Prison consultants told the publication that the convicted sex offender, who is serving her sentence at FCI Tallahassee in Florida, will start off with a handful of cleaning jobs before she’ll eventually be given a long-term position as a payroll manager or reading water meters.

Ghislaine spent two years at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, before being moved to FCI Tallahassee, which is like “Disneyland” in comparison, the consultants said. Yet, despite the better conditions at her new low-security federal prison, Ghislaine could potentially be a target to other inmates if she doesn’t start humbling herself, as sources claim she has complained about her living conditions non-stop.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, the 60-year-old launched appeals against her conviction and sentence for trafficking young girls because one of the jurors in her trial had failed to make it known that he had been sexually abused before being summoned to the court.

In response to her motion, Judge Alison Nathan explained that the jury’s verdicts were “readily supported” by witness testimonies, prompting her to dismiss Ghislaine’s bis to overturn the conviction.

During her court hearing last month, Ghislaine had issued a few words before she was given her sentence, saying that she, too, had been a victim of abuse by Jeffrey, adding that while it was hard listening to so many women share their horrific memories with the former financier, she still wanted to acknowledge their suffering.

“I acknowledge with that I have been a victim of helping Jeffrey Epstein commit these crimes,” she told the judge. I believe that Jeffrey Epstein was a manipulative, cunning, and controlling man who lived a profoundly compartmentalized life and fooled all of those in his orbit.

“He should have stood before you in 2005, again in 2009, and again in 2019. … All the many times he was accused, charged, and prosecuted. but today it is not about Jeffrey Epstein ultimately,’ she said. To you, all the victims … I am sorry for the pain that you experienced.”
