As we previously reported, a member of the Norwegian Parliament nominated the President for the prestigious award for his role earlier this month for brokering relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. A member of the Swedish Parliament later nominated Trump again over economic cooperation and trade talks. According to the latest reports by The New York Post, he scored another nod, this time for the president’s foreign policy philosophy. As the news site notes, Australian law professor David Flint and a group of law professors in Australia were the ones to nominate Trump for the prize.

“What he has done with the Trump Doctrine is that he has decided he would no longer have America involved in endless wars, wars which achieve nothing but the killing of thousands of young Americans and enormous debts imposed on America,”Flint told Sky News Australia on Sunday. “He’s reducing America’s tendency to get involved in any and every war.”
Aside from Trump, President Vladimir Putin has been nominated for the award. The winner of the 2020 peace prize is expected to be announced on Oct. 9.
