Las Vegas Homeless Man Drowns After Jumping In Bellagio Fountain
As bystanders confusingly spectate, a Las Vegas homeless man drowns after jumping in the Bellagio fountain on Friday morning. Eyewitness Kayla Eklund captured footage of the tragic moment and says the man was talking to himself before jumping.
After the man appeared to be struggling, shouting, “Help, help, help.” she called 911. With authorities 10-15 minutes out, other witnesses attempted to jump in and save the man, but to no avail as he went under and died before medics could arrive.

Las Vegas Police Captain Dori Koren described the victim as a white male, believed to be a “transient individual” between 40-50-years-old. Koren adds, “We encourage everyone who visits the Las Vegas Strip to be safe and that includes any of the properties that have any kind of water places. Please make sure that you do not jump in for any reason. It is just unsafe to do so.”
Furthermore, police say they also pulled another man out from the fountain around the same time, who was drowning, however, this man was “unrelated to the incident” and “a little mentally unstable.”
