LAPD Release Names, Charges & Bail Amounts In Pop Smoke Murder

Yesterday we reported that five people were arrested in connection to the murder of Brooklyn rapper Pop Smoke. The LAPD have since released the names, charges and bail amounts for said suspects. Taking to its official Twitter account, the department updates, “The three adult suspects are listed by name as—Suspect 1: Corey Walker, Suspect 2: Keandre D. Rodgers and Suspect 3: Jaquan Murphy.”

Although the names of the two minors are still withheld, as they are confidential per law, the LAPD posted a second update, stating, “Suspects 1 and 2—as well as the two juvenile suspects—were booked for 187(a) PC- Murder, and bail was set for all at $1,000,000 for the two adults. Suspect 3 was booked for 664/187(a) PC- Attempted Murder, and bail was also set at $1,000,000.”

Additionally, another report claimed that none of the suspects knew Pop Smoke, and most likely found his address after he accidentally shared it on social media a day prior to the fatal shooting. Rest in peace, Pop Smoke.
