53-Year-Old Woman Reportedly Dumped At Bronx Hospital — Cops Believe She Died After Receiving Botched Butt Injections
A woman has sadly died after being left at a Bronx hospital nearly naked and now her death is under investigation.
According to the New York Post, two women dropped the victim off at Jacobi Medical Center around 1:50 a.m. on Tuesday and claimed they found her near Woodlawn Cemetery, cops said. They claimed she was in distress and needed help, so they drove her to the hospital in her own car. However, authorities said the pair then took off.

The woman who has been identified as 53-year-old Maxine Messam, was reportedly naked below her waist and was found “with numerous injections in her buttocks,” and it appeared she was “injected with an unknown substance,” police sources said. Her death is now being probed as suspicious, according to the sources. The victim’s shocked husband Carlos Simpson told the Daily News, speaking outside the family’s home in Bridgeport, Conn: “We don’t know what happened,”“She was at work and she left work. So we don’t know what happened from there.”
He added,
“Everybody is really emotionally damaged at this point in time,” said Messam’s son, who declined to give his name. “I would like to say something, but we don’t have all the details.”
An autopsy will determine Messam’s cause of death.
