#Socialites, do you remember where you were when you first heard 50 Cent‘s 2003 hit “In Da Club?” Every time the song comes on, it’s hard not to dance and rap along to it; and apparently that’s the same for the late and great Michael Jackson, who “loved” 50’s hit according to comedian and actor Chris Tucker.
On Monday (August 21), the Jamaica, Queens, New York rapper took to his official account on Instagram and proudly reacted to ‘Friday‘ actor Chris Tucker recalling how much MJ, the King of Pop, “loved” vibing to Hip-Hop and various rappers like 50 Cent and his biggest hit “In Da Club.”
50 posted an old clip of Tucker sharing a story while performing stand-up in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia for his 2015 Netflix special, ‘Chris Tucker: Live.’ As we all know, Tucker and MJ had a super close friendship, and in his special he brought up a heartwarming and hysterical moment he shared with the late King of Pop.

Tucker said, “Michael was cool, man. We’d hang out with Michael. Michael liked rap. He liked that 50 Cent song, ‘In Da Club.’ He liked the beat. So he’d be jamming to the beat. We’d be riding in the car, and Michael’d just be jamming to the beat. He’d be like [beatboxing]. Michael’d be getting down. He’d just play it back [continues beatboxing].”
Tucker continued, “All of sudden, you know… it’s cool ’till he starts singing the words, that’s when it sounded crazy. He’s like [mimicking MJ]. [I’d be like,] ‘Michael, Michael, no! Michael, no! Don’t sing the words.’ [Michael’d be like,] ‘Chris, I love that song, Chris. I love that beat. I love it, Chris. That is a cold-blooded beat. I love that beat. Of course I wouldn’t go into the club with a bottle full of bub, Chris. I wouldn’t do that. But I love that song, Chris.’ [I’d be like,’ ‘That didn’t sound right, Mike.’ [He’d be like,] ‘I know, but I love it.'”

Elsewhere, it is reported the 50 Cent was recently compared to Michael Jackson in New York, during his final stop of his ‘Final Lap Tour.’ While performing at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, 50 brought out North Carolina rapper J. Cole as a special guest.
Showing 50 some love back, Cole said, “Can I say this before I walk off stage? If you don’t make some noise for one of the greatest n***as to do this shit 50 muthaf**king Cent, Curtis Jackson. ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin” is the best album of all time I don’t give a f**k what you talking about. It’s ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin’‘ at number one, and it’s ‘Thriller‘ at number two, and I love Michael Jackson.”
