42 Dugg Posts Desperate Plea From Jail Slamming Conditions & Accusing U.S. Marshals Of Illegal Tactics: ‘Show Me The Best Civil Lawyer’
In 2020, the rapper was arrested in a federal gun probe — where he was convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was sentenced to six months in a West Virginia prison camp, but never surrendered. Subsequently, federal agents scooped him up for “failure to surrender” and he was booked into a jail in Atlanta.
Taking to his Instagram, Dugg made a desperate plea and spoke about his jail conditions and accused U.S. Marshals of using illegal tactics to keep him in custody.

He said, “Let me update y’all on whats really going on. Atlanta U.S. Marshals are trying to keep me from going home. I was supposed to get out October 14th of last year. They illegally held me without reasoning because they felt my federal judge in Detroit shouldn’t have given me bond. I let that slide. Then after I got sentenced, one of them tells me that he’s not sending me to a prison, he’s going to make me do my time in a county jail, which is ten times worse. Then he had the nerve to tell me he knows where I live because his people sold me one of my houses.”
He continued, “So, alright. Now I was supposed to have court today for an old case. The U.S. Marshals then told the jail don’t let me on Zoom to handle the case, so I can’t possibly go to the halfway house. Bruh, these motherf***ers been sending all kind of guards to talk to me, seeing if I’mma ask for something. The crazy thing is they putting me on game, they’re telling me, ‘The Marshals are trying to ruin your life. They don’t want you going home.’ They haven’t even submitted my paperwork for me to receive my out date and calculate my days.”
The rapper added, “I need the best civil lawyer in Georgia man. I’m in jail for going to the gun range, dropping dirt, and failure to appear. I didn’t steal from nobody, or hurt nobody. They handling me crazy man. I’m in this b*tch heating my food up with the water from the nasty a** shower. They don’t even give us hot water to heat our food up ain’t no microwave. I can’t get no visits from my family, nothing. I’m sure they’re gonna do some more illegal sh*t, but what am I supposed to die in this b*tch for probation violation? I don’t know what they got against rappers and famous people, but this sh*t can’t be real.”
In a fourth post, Dugg wrote, “What’s crazy is I missed my turn-in date by 2 and a half weeks and had a new indictment lol. But somehow, they haven’t submitted my sentence to the BOP [Bureau of Prisons] in 3 weeks. How that work? These people are in control of our lives. When we catch a federal case, they can manipulate this sh*t however they want too. I’m not even from down here, bruh. Like why are you looking into where I live while I’m in jail? This ain’t no police from the traffic unit, these people is federal U.S. Marshals, bruh, making sure they stand on a n***a. I’m in this b*tch using water from a nasty a** shower to heat my food up. There’s no microwave. No hot water. No clean water. This ain’t how this sh*t go. I’m telling y’all, just show me the best civil lawyer man.”
