Jaxon Sales died of a drug overdose after he was found unresponsive in the bed of a 41-year-old man he hooked up with on March 2, 2020. The 41-year-old who was with Sales claims they went to bed around 2:00 AM and woke up at 6:30 AM for work. He added that Sales was still sleeping when he was getting ready and told police the young man was unresponsive an hour later.
According to TOO FAB, the medical examiner’s office found cocaine, methamphetamine, and the date rape drug, Gamma-Hydroxybutric Acid aka GHB in his system. Sales’ death was ruled as a drug overdose but a criminal investigation never happened. Sales’ parents explained that an official from the medical examiner’s office told them that an investigation was not conducted because “the gay community uses GHB,” and believed if their son was straight, an investigation would’ve taken place.

A petition was created by the couple and they wrote that it took them months to receive reports from the medical examiner’s office and police.
“Only then did we learn that our vibrant, hardworking, gay, Asian American son was found naked and dead in the bed of a 41-year-old white male whom Jaxon did not know.” The San Francisco Medical Examiner conducted the autopsy and, without any substantive investigation, declared Jaxon’s death an accidental drug overdose.”
