According to local police, she regularly used pacifiers, drank from baby bottles, and played with toys to keep the illusion alive. When the family started pointing out that their new “tween” daughter looked like she had lived through the Y2K era, Amanda had a wild excuse ready. She claimed her adult appearance was the tragic result of being forced to take hormones during a childhood filled with abuse and witchcraft rituals.
The unsuspecting couple fell for it even going as far as throwing her a birthday party, sang her lullabies, and were actively planning to formally adopt her.
