Jenelle Evans’ Husband, David Eason Charged With Child Abuse In Case Involving Her 14-Year-Old Son
There’s been a lot of family drama with Jenelle Evans, her husband David Eason, and her son, Jace.
As previously reported, the teen had been reported missing a total of three times within the past few months. Following the third incident, cops began diving into the case as possible neglect. Law enforcement sources told TMZ at the time that charges would be filed for both parents for neglect and assault. According to the latest update in the case, Eason has just been hit with a child abuse charge.
Circumstances surrounding David’s charges are still unclear. However, there’s a possibility Jenelle could eventually face charges as well. To note, Jace is David’s stepson.

Former “Teen Mom” star, Jenelle Evans’ son Jace was reported missing for the first time back in August. At the time, the 14-year-old was last seen leaving school in North Carolina around 2:45 p.m. But thankfully he was later located.
Jenelle spoke out after that incident and said, “Jace has been found and is safely at home with Jenelle and his family, thank you to the Brunswick Co. Sheriff’s Department and to everyone else for their concerns.”
She continued,
“As a boy mom, kids can act up and rebel as I’m sure the majority of us all once did as kids too. Jace, got in trouble at school, we decided to take his phone away and that’s when he decided to run off, Jace is a good kid and we’re not dealing with anything that most families don’t deal with while raising children, this has absolutely nothing to do with my situation with David, we do not argue in front of our children or fight in front of our kids. This is a teenage boy being a teenager mad that we decided to take his phone away.”
Later that month, he was reported missing again. He was eventually found safe. While responding to critics, Jenelle tried to explain, “My son has been having a hard time for the past two, or three years. None of this has gone public because we’re trying to keep his privacy. Me and my mom, when she gave me custody, she’s like, ‘Oh we’re just getting along, I’m just gonna give Jenelle back,’ Well, there was a big reason behind why I got him back.”
Evans went on to reassure her fans at the time that Jace was doing okay since returning home. “My son is fine. He’s healthy and he’s safe,” the 31-year-old added. “Due to my son’s mental health, none of this is going to be shared and I don’t really want to go into detail with anything. So if you can kindly give us the privacy, give my son the privacy, right now, I’d appreciate it.”
Sadly, a third incident occurred last month when the teen snuck out of their North Carolina home at around 8 p.m. It was an even scarier situation as they had no updates for hours. But after a search, he was later found safe.
These back-to-back incidents raised eyebrows of law enforcement, which made them start an investigation.
In the middle of that, Jenelle Evans spoke out again to hit back at claims that her son Jace’s third disappearance in less than two months was a result of her husband David Eason’s alleged abuse.
“There are multiple people involved in this situation and they know the truth, and so does God.”
