The 2025 Streamer Awards went viral this year, but not because of its honorees, but instead over its hosts who kept cracking poor jokes on prominent Black streamers, like Kai Cenat and Rakai. Host Fan Fan compared Cenat to Diddy leaving streamer Tylil James to defend him; host QTCinderella made stealing jokes about Rakai; and later, India Love crashed the stage to praise Rakai and DDG over “Streamer of the Year” recipient, FaZe Adapt.
Tylil James Slams 2025 Streamer Awards Host Fan Fan After Cracking Joke Comparing Kai Cenat To Diddy
Beginning with Kai Cenat and Fan Fan’s viral moment, a clip began surfacing with social users commenting on her flopped joke.
Notably, after Cenat ended his final streamathon, ‘Mafiathon 3,’ a few months ago, he cut his locs off and got a shape-up. Even before showing off his new look, social media had long made comparisons to Diddy. At Saturday night’s (December 6) award show, one of the hosts, known online as Fan Fan, tried to reference the social media joke, but it flopped.
Fan Fan introduced the joke by congratulating Cenat on “his 50 Cent documentary.” Again, she was comparing the streamer to Diddy, who was recently portrayed in the new Netflix documentary, ‘Sean Combs: The Reckoning.’ After the flopped joke, Tylil James, of the Clover Boys streaming group, took up for his friend and slammed the host.
2025 Streamer Awards Host QTCinderella Jokes About Rakai Stealing
Kai Cenat’s young protégé Rakai also had a viral moment with another host cracking a poor joke. This time, streamer QTCinderella asked Rakai, “What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever stolen?” The joke fell flat as she tried to reference online allegations about Rakai shoplifting flowers from a Walmart while streaming and him allegedly scamming another content creator, Clix, out of $6,500 after losing a bet.
Immediately after QTCinderella shared the joke, the Clover Boys, a group of streamers and creators associated with Kai Cenat, reacted. The group is comprised of Rakai, Tylil James, Reggie, Punga, BTB DEZZ, Tota MC, and Ray.
Social media debated the flat joke, with some social users calling it “racist,” and others claiming the host was poking fun at Rakai’s obvious stunts on stream — which reportedly got him banned. Rakai claimed he was banned for two years, but Twitch released a statement claiming that was a glitch and that his real consequences have been told to him directly.
Even during the 2025 Streamer Awards, Rakai approached CEO Dan Clancy about his ban. Clancy simply told him that he’s not in charge of banning creators and that the young streamer already knows why he was banned.
India Love Crashes 2025 Streamer Awards Stage Praising Rakai & DDG Over FaZe Adapt ‘SOTY’ Win
The viral moments continued when social media personality-turned-streamer India Love crashed the stage and ended up getting kicked out. Indian Love pulled a Kanye West at the 2009 MTV VMAs. In between awards, as everyone left the stage, India Love casually walked up the steps from the audience, took the mic, and said:
“Hello, hello. Real quick, y’all. I know ‘Breakout Streamer of the Year’ went to Adapt, and congratulations, and we respect you for what you did — but Rakai should’ve won ‘Breakout Streamer of the Year’ and DDG. I don’t care what y’all say. Shoutout to Rakai and shoutout to…[makes air horn noises].”
She then looked at the crowd and gave a kiss as she walked off stage. Later in the night, videos began surfacing showing Love being escorted out of the event. She then confirmed on stream that she was kicked out of the event immediately after the incident.
She told Deshae Frost, “I got kicked out. They said, ‘Excuse me, they gotta go.’” She continued to double down on her opinion about Rakai being snubbed, stating “That n***a should’ve won.”
Joining the rest of the internet, Chrisean Rock, reacted to the “weird” and “disturbing” Streamer Awards. She called out the event organizers and producers over the ceremony’s hosts taking digs at prominent Black streamers.
