Ring Fires Four Employees For Spying On Customers’ Cameras

Amazon’s home security company Ring is facing more backlash after it was revealed that four of their employees were caught spying on customer videos and were fired as a result.

According to CBS News, Ring has released a statement in light of the disturbing news after a security concern from the US Senate. The company said within the past four years, it has received four complaints from customers which resulted in the termination of four employees. Although the employees were authorized to view personal moments from each home, they have abused that privilege.

Ring did not state the type of videos that the employees spied on and said they have made it hard for employees to bypass the restricted access to view customer feeds.

‘In addition to taking swift action to investigate and take appropriate disciplinary action in each of these cases, Ring has taken multiple actions to limit such data access to a smaller number of team members.
