10-Year-Old Boy Busted After Stealing Sleeping Parents’ Car To Buy Cheerios
A 10-year-old boy in Stillwater, Minnesota has been busted after stealing his sleeping parents’ car to go and buy some Cheerios last weekend. It’s reported that law enforcement officials were doing a routine patrol on Easter night (Apr. 4) and spotted the young child behind the wheel of a Chrysler minivan stopped in the middle of the street.
As authorities activated their emergency lights and tracked the vehicle, the little boy proceeded to accelerate up to 50 mph, blow through a stop sign in reverse and run up an embankment into a homeowner’s front yard. The officer behind the wheel was finally able to block the boy in and upon confrontation, the boy told him that his father wanted him to go out and buy Cheerios so that he’d be able to have a bowl of cereal before heading off to school in the morning.

The cop asked if the boy’s father was intoxicated at the time, and he said yes. However, when the cops took the boy home, his parents were asleep and sober, leaving him to confess to sneaking out to get Cheerios on his own. While the minivan sustained some minor damage, fortunately, the boy suffered no injuries. Currently, it’s unclear if the boy will be legally punished.
