Welp, Jim Jones is off the hook! As we previously reported, the rapper found himself in the middle of a wild airport royal rumble a few days ago. However, despite the chaos and injuries involved, Jim will not face any criminal charges.

Both the parties involved and the police are supporting Jim’s version of events, labeling it as a simple act of self-defense.

According to the police report, the altercation began when Jim stood up to retrieve his belongings from the overhead compartment as the plane was landing. This seemingly innocuous action led to a confrontation with a fellow passenger named James Dos Santos, who pushed Jim in the chest. Quick to diffuse the situation, Jim grabbed Dos Santos’ arm and issued a stern warning, prompting an immediate apology. However, the drama didn’t end there. Another passenger, Alexander Lekht, decided to join in by screaming at Jim from a different seat. Deputies were called to the gate, but Jim chose not to report the incident and proceeded to the baggage claim. The report goes on to states that Lekht continued to provoke and follow Jim, attempting to startle him with sudden movements.

However, Jim remained composed and did not react. The tension escalated when they reached the escalator, with Lekht making a second provocative motion towards Jim. In response, Jim detained Lekht until the authorities arrived, which was captured on airport surveillance video.

To note, the video footage shows Jim picking up Lekht and tossing him down the escalator. Lekht retaliated by swinging wild punches, while Dos Santos also joined in. Despite being the target of the initial aggression, Jim decided against pressing charges.

The airport surveillance video reportedly supported Jim’s account of the incident. However, it wasn’t just the parties involved who suffered injuries. A 94-year-old man named James Jackson became inadvertently caught up in the chaos and had to be transported to the hospital due to leg pain. Lekht also sustained bloody lacerations from his encounter with the escalator.

Despite that, Jim Jones has been cleared of any wrongdoing in the airport brawl.
