Yung Miami wants folks to start putting some respect on her grind!

As many know, the rapper turned talks show host won Best Hip Hop Platform at the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards. Of course, it drew mixed reactions. On an episode of the Breakfast Club, co-host Charlamagne Tha God questioned how Miami’s show Caresha Please! beat out other nominees like Drink Champs, Million Dollaz, The Joe Budden Podcast, and other notable platforms. He said at the time, “We gotta stop. Salute to Caresha. I love Yung Miami to death…but come on now. Two years in a row!? “I got mad love for Caresha but you’ve got platforms that come out daily, and you’ve got platforms that come out weekly.” He added, “I love Caresha Please, but was that sponsored by DeLeon?” Charlamagne said, implying that Diddy may have dipped in his pocket to make his bio win the award.

Yung Miami eventually caught wind of his comments and said, “YALL LEAVE ME [THE F###] ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Yung Miami wrote under the Neighborhood Talks’s comment section. Well, while meeting face-to-face, Yung Miami is letting know Charlamagne just how she felt about his words. During an appearance on the radio show, she also shut down rumors that Diddy dropped a bag to help her win the BET award.

“I just feel like I deserve my shit. Like God put me here for a reason and I’m only 29. I came from nothing. I deserve that. I don’t care what nobody say, I deserved that.”

Charlamge chimed in and said, “I love Careesha. I get exactly where you’re coming from. I wanted you to drop more. If you dropped more I’m like ‘I can’t even front on Careesha.’” He continued saying, “People come out daily and weekly, that really put in a lot of work.” In response to that, Careesha said “That shit be really tiring. When you put out every week it’s like goddamn. You got to let the audience grow, let the interview grow. Like, give people time to get into it.”

Careesha went on to say that although she doesn’t like dropping every week she’s not completely ruling that out. “But it was my first time trying it out. You know I got to learn how to talk too,” she joked.
