On November 24, Trevor Jacob was piloting the Taylorcraft BL64 plane above into the Los Padres National Forest while he was en route from Lompoc City Airport in Santa Barbara to Mammoth Lakes. In a video clip, Jacob is seen operating the aircraft before it begins to malfunction, causing him to exit out of it with a parachute while another piece of footage shows the plane crashing into the forest.

The video was uploaded a month later to YouTube with the title,” I Crashed My Plane” and gained more than 1 million views but viewers started to notice that the crash looked sketchy based on Jacob’s actions. In a statement, the Federal Aviation Administration said they are investigating the crash to determine if it was intentional but didn’t release any further details.
